Vaccines. Ah. Am I even allowed to say that here?

This is one of the biggest reasons I wanted to create this space! It is no longer safe to talk openly about vaccines on social media, but oh how parents need (and deserve!) access to the information.

Mothers come to me all the time wanting a quick answer on what they should do. “Should I give some? None? Which ones?” Here’s the thing-unless you do the research and digging for yourself, you will never feel confident in your decision! I’m here to help you feel EMPOWERED in your decision making, not make them for you :)

There’s so much FEAR around this topic. Fear of illness, fear of side effects, fear of not making the right decision…the more you know, the less fear you will feel-promise! It is worth doing the research, and I promise when you do, you will begin to feel stronger and stronger about the decision that is right for your family.

If you are unsure-WAIT! You can always give a vaccine, but you can never take it back!

“Did you know vaccines are the ONLY product where pharmaceutical companies cannot be sued or held liable for any injury that occurs? That is because of The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA) of 1986.

President Reagan signed this Act into law in 1986 and with it, the formation of the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP). By 2021, the U.S. Court of Claims had awarded over $4 billion dollars to vaccine injured victims even with two out of three applicants being denied compensation.

The Act alone demonstrated the fact that vaccines DO cause some people harm and that (serious) side effects are very real.”

This was a huge deal because it let vaccine makers off the hook for any injuries caused by their products, and you can probably guess what happened. The number of recommended vaccines added to the schedule sky rocketed.

Exemptions

NOT SHOTS, NO SCHOOL, NOT TRUE!

Need an exemption but don’t know where to start? Start by finding out what exemptions your state offers HERE. There are 3 kinds-philosophical, religious, and medical. All states have medical exemptions but they can be extremely hard to get. Depending on the state you’re in, the process for a religious exemption varies. You can always call your local health department and ask the process for a religious exemption as well. If your state offers philosophical exemptions, they are usually the easiest to get!

Many states do have religious exemptions, but schools will still say the vaccines are mandatory…they are simply not advertising the exemptions. If it is a state funded school and you have an exemption that your state allows, the school must accept it!
